Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb. Hello from this Indonesian petite lady! I want to share my 1st day in
Davao City. But first of all, I want to say thank you to the Philippines Tourism Department
@tourismphl and
@halaltrip for inviting me and the other bloggers to visit this beautiful country and collaborate to make Philippines an excellent Muslim-friendly country in Asia. It's great to know that the Government appreciates Muslim visitors to such an extent that they asked us to do this campaign.
Our first stop was
Davao City and the first place that we visited was
Marco Polo Hotel. I really loved this hotel. The view from my room was the harbour. What I loved the most about the hotel was the bed and their great service. They gave us complimentary service too and I was flattered.
We then went to
Rumah Kari for our first lunch in the Philippines. The concept of this place was very homely. We were able to eat like we were at our own home. The best dish from Rumah Kari was the
Sambal Ayam.
After that we went to the nearest mosque to take a Salat Dhuhr. I love Filipinos. They greet us with Assalamu'alaikum and with sincere smiles. :)
Once we were done with Salat Dhuhr, we went to
Abreeza Alaya Mall which had a really nice Halal restaurant named Habi at Kape. The food was soooo good, the owner was nice and I loved the decorations too. The ambience was really warm.
After visiting Abreeza, we headed to the
SMX Convention Center - a flagship establishment of the meetings, incentives, conventions & exhibitions industry in the Philippines. I think this was the biggest in
Davao City.
The last destination for today was
Marina Tuna - a specialty tuna restaurant. The tour guide let us experience 10 ways of eating the famous yellow fin tuna. But I could eat just 3 ways only. Shame on me! Hehe. Don't worry, it was Halal too!
So that was all for today. Me and others were so happy and full (we ate a lot!). Hopefully tomorrow will be even more fun.
