Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb. It's already Day 4 here in Manila, Philippines!
We had our breakfast at the hotel before we started the tour - Mariott has nice pastries to try. Mariott is also the one and only hotel close to the airport with Halal food in the restaurant.
We started the tour and the guide explained everything about Manila. There were many posters on the streets because a presidential election was set to take place on May 9th. We then stopped by at a souvenir shop. I didn't buy anything here so I took photos in front of the shop instead.
After that we walked to
Fort Santiago - a place called old Manila. I couldn't finish the tour in this building because I was not feeling well.

It was already 12.05 pm. It was Dhuhr time so we went to the mosque named
Golden Mosque. The mosque was in a Muslim area but not too many Muslim were there. But at least they have such an area and Alhamdulillah we had heard adzan in this city.
The weather today was really hot. I think around 36-37 degrees with no wind. So it made me feel worse.
We then headed to have lunch at
Dusit Hotel but I couldn't eat. I tried to eat in small amounts and drink just hot water but I couldn't. And then I vomited. Yaa Rabb, that was the first time that I vomited in a public area like that. I didn't feel good about it. I then ran to the toilet because I needed to throw up everything inside my tummy.

Suddenly the nurse arrived and gave me medication. The supervisor of the hotel - Mr. Ryan - also arrived and said that the hotel had a clinic and a doctor as well. I asked permission from HalalTrip if I could stay here for a while until I get better and in the end I stayed at the clinic. The doctor directly checked out my illness and gave me an injection to stop the vomiting. Then I slept.
I was so impressed with Philippines. In Davao my partner also got sick and the hotel team took good care of her as well, just like me in Manila. Philippines has a great SOP towards taking care of people who get sick in their country. Respect! And thank you Dusit Hotel for taking good care of me. I won't forget this experience.
I felt better so the team picked me up and we went to
Shangri La Hotel for dinner. I still couldn't eat anything until I found a Muslim chef here who made a chicken soup specially for me. Alhamdulillah. The soup tasted so good and warmed my tummy.

If you visit Manila and want to try 5-star Halal food, go to Mariott, Dusit and Shangri La. They have great food & great service.
So that was my Day 4. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow morning and no more vomiting. Aamiin.
