Description

If you would like to get away from the busy city for a while Samal Island would be an ideal place to visit for  fun activities including cave exploration or rather spelunking where you can explore some of the many caves located on the island. While the popular Monfort Bat Cave which holds a Guinness World record for the world’s largest fruit bat colony is not allowed for exploration, the bats can be only observed in their natural habitat from another entrance. Pay a visit to the Giant Clam Sanctuary to go snorkeling or diving and see a farm of giant clams as well as colourful starfish in beautiful shallow waters and other marine life too. Hagitmit Falls is another sight to see with tiered waterfalls and a natural swimming hole, where you can relax surrounded by nature. Samal Island is complete with beautiful beaches rich with marine life making this one of the best diving and snorkeling spots, especially in places like Talikud Island and Mansud Wall.
