If we’re going to talk about wildlife safaris, then we need to start with the first-ever national park in Asia, Jim Corbett National Park

The national park was established in 1936 and it’s home to many species of plants, reptiles, mammals, birds, and even water animals. And if you are bold enough, be ready to spot some tigers in the park. People from across the world come to witness these extremely wild cats in action.

Other fascinating wild animals you can spot there are the Himalayan tahr, goral, serow, and more.

2. Bandhavgarh, Madhya Pradesh

Bandhavgarh National Park is famous for having the world’s highest density of Royal Bengal tigers. These royal tigers are considered to be some of the biggest wild cats alive today.

The park is located in the gorgeous Vindhya mountain range in Madhya Pradesh and it’s home to many wild animal species. Some of the animals you might spot there are sambhars, leopards, chitals, wild boars, jackals, Indian bison, and more!

Keep in mind that the park is closed during the monsoon season. This is because of the heavy rain that washes off all the jungle tracks. It also happens to be the breeding season as well.

3. Ranthambore, Rajasthan

One of the best places for wildlife safari in India is Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan. The park is mainly known for its tigers, but it's also home to many other wild animals like leopards, hyenas, wild boars, sloth bears, and more.

The park covers a huge area and you can take a safari ride to explore the wilderness. So, if you're a wildlife enthusiast, Ranthambore National Park is definitely a must-visit destination for you.

Some of the animals you can spot there are the endangered snow leopards, golden eagles, snow cocks, chukars, blue sheep, and more.

Note that the national park closes in November due to the heavy snowfall. The best time to visit is from May to September, when the weather is pleasant.

If you are looking for one of the best wildlife safari experiences, then Gir National Park should be on your bucket list. You can find many wild animals there, including leopards, hyenas, crocodiles, Asiatic lions, and more.
