Traveling during Ramadan requires more preparation than your usual travel routine. Here are some things to keep in mind so you can have an enjoyable time during Ramadan:
- Allocate time for Sahur and Iftar and plan your nearest restaurant to dine before the adhan/adzan
- Check what time sunrise and sunset are as every destination has different daylight hours and prayer times
- Have some emergency Iftar snacks in case there is no restaurant in sight
- If you find it unbearable or got sick during the fast, you can choose not to continue fasting that day and replace it with another day outside of the Ramadan season
- If you are on a plane, you should break your fast the moment after the sun sets.
