Klaipėda is a sea port in Lithuania and the third-largest city in the country. The city is specifically known for its German influence. The old town of Klaipėda is great to visit. The city is best known for its Annchen von Tarau sculpture and the Meridianas, which is an old sailing ship with a restaurant inside (not halal). Throughout the city there are numerous sculptures that are good to see. Next to the bus station is the Lithuanian modern sculpture park that features about 116 sculptures.
Klaipėda has numerous museums that cannot be missed. The Lithuanian Sea Museum and Dolphinarium, Clock Museum, Castle Museum and the History Museum of Lithuania Minor are the best museums to visit. There is a big beach located close to the city, the Smiltynė beach. The beach is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. Other beaches near the city are Giruliai and Melnragė beaches.
