If you’ve heard of Indonesian Batik and want to know where to get some, Pekalongan is the perfect place! Pekalongan has an International Batik Center located at Jalan Achmad Yani and Setono Batik Market at Jalan Dr. Sutomo where many assortments of Batik are portrayed and sold all over! Pekalongan even has a village and museum dedicated to Batik! The Kauman Batik Village is where visitors can rent a house to get in touch with locals’ daily Batik-making activities. If you want to see ancient Batik artifacts, visit the Museum of Batik instead!

Pekalongan has amazing beaches and waterfalls as well! The most famous beach in Pekalongan is Pasir Kencana Beach. This beach is beautifully preserved with stunning views all along the beach. Don’t forget to visit the Curug waterfalls! Do be careful and pay attention to the signs! Some of the waterfalls are not advisable for swimming as it could be dangerous. Nonetheless, the waterfalls are beautiful and refreshing sights to enjoy!
