The largest performing fountain system in the world - The Dubai Fountain - is a prominent landmark of the city as well as a much visited tourist attraction in Dubai. Located on the Burj Khalifa Lake that spans an area of 30 acres, the fountain stretches 900 feet in length and features a series of circles and central arches. It is stunningly illuminated by a total of over 6,000 lights and 25 coloured projectors, to create a breathtaking view. The water jets of the fountain can shoot up to a height of 500 feet into the air and is accompanied by soft classical music, offering a truly enchanting ambience. The fountain is located right outside the Dubai Mall area and is in close proximity to a wealth of shopping opportunities.
Afternoon performances take place daily at 1:00 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. while evening shows take place daily at 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (every 30 minutes)

There are quite a number of mosques near Dubai Fountain including the Jumeirah Mosque and the Ramadaan Juma Mosque which are located a short distance away. A private area in the vicinity of the fountain can also be made use of during prayer times.

Halal restaurants near Dubai Fountain include Nando's Burj Khalifa, Al Hallab Restaurant, Thiptara, Baker & Spice and Leila Restaurant which are all located a short distance away.
