Phuket Aquarium is a popular attraction in Phuket and offers visitors an unforgettable experience. Located at the very end of Cape Panwa, Phuket Aquarium was established in 1983 and is the only public aquarium in the region. The aquarium is home to a diverse range of marine life of over 100,000 specimens including colorful clown fish, Piranhas from the Amazon as well as giant groupers, sea turtles, leopard sharks and electric eels. It is the ideal location to get a deeper understanding about the coral reef life, giant groupers and exotic species and a walk through the tunnel tank under the ocean should not be missed out on! Other highlights of the aquarium include the Nature Trail, Hatchery, Marine Research Vessel "Chakratong Tongyai", Sea Turtle Pool, Reference Collection and the Marine Endangered Species Museum.
