The only aquarium in Saudi Arabia - the Fakieh Aquarium is a wonderful place to visit with family when in Jeddah, especially if you want to learn more about the aquatic life found in the Red Sea. The aquarium is home to over 7000 exotic sea creatures of 200 species. Aside from a diverse array of colorful fishes, the aquarium also houses a few varieties of marine creatures such as Red Dragon and Red Sea Turtles. The main attraction at the Fakieh Aquarium is the acrylic tunnel that allows visitors to watch the amazing sea creatures swimming and floating by, as well as to get up close with them. Seeing the sharks and other venomous sea creatures swim by at such close proximity would surely thrill and excite children and adults alike. The aquarium also hosts the Dolphin & Sea Lion Show everyday. The show would truly impress you; with dolphins along with their trainers performing a number of tricks that keep the audience entertained. The Fakieh Aquarium is definitely worth a visit and is a fun way to teach kids more about marine life.

The Fakieh Aquarium is open from Sunday - Thursday 10 am - 11 pm; Friday 1.30 pm - 11 pm; Saturday 1 pm - 11 pm; Holidays 1 pm - 12.30 am, except on Fridays 1.30 pm - 1 am.
