Description

Nice's famous Flower Market is one attraction that must not be missed when in the city. It is the perfect place to sip on a steaming cup of coffee and to watch the locals out and about. This popular attraction is at Nice’s oldest market square and is best visited bright and early. The market is a daily attraction that houses vendors selling some of the most beautiful flowers one has ever seen, along with fresh fruits and vegetables, exotic spices, a variety of French pastries, local cuisine and more. The flowers on sale here are fresh and fragrant, and the collection ranges from geraniums to dahlias and other countless varieties. Visitors can also use this opportunity to ask vendors for advice on anything plant related. The markets walkway is also lined with a plethora of great outdoor cafes and souvenir shops. The area around Cours Saleya is also packed to the brim with historic attractions like Opera de Nice, the La Chapelle de la Miséracorde and is just around the corner from Nice’s Old Town. And, on Mondays there is a flea and antiques market from 6am to 6pm, where visitors will be able to find amazing pieces at great bargains.
