St. Wolfgang is a wonderful market town that offers visitors with plenty of opportunities of enjoyment. St. Wolfgang is a historic town along the shore of the Wolfgangsee Lake. There are numerous trails almost 130Km that visitors can enjoy exploring. The summit of Schafberg Mountain is up a beautiful hike and visitors can enjoy some fantastic views from the top.
During summer months visitors can take a dip in the Wolfgangsee Lake and also enjoy motor boating and other water sports. During winter months there area receives a lot of snow and is ideal for skiing. There are several miles of skiing trails during the winter season that are good enough for skiers of all levels. There is also a great golf course in the town that is quite good.
The town has local markets and some good shops that sell local souvenirs, clothing and several other items.
The nearest airport to St. Wolfgang is the Salzburg Airport. It is located about 45 Km from St. Wolfgang and visitors can easily get car rentals or taxis from the airport to their destination.
