San José del Cabo is a Mexican city, with a population of just under 70,000. It is a popular tourist destination with almost a million tourists having visited the city in 2011 alone. Considered the quieter counterpart of the entertainment city of Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo is a docile city with simple, but plentiful, shopping and dining opportunities.

San José del Cabo is the perfect destination for low-key and relaxed vacations, with beautiful beaches, estuaries as well as art galleries and some of the best Mexican restaurants serving seafood dishes. There will be no shortage of things to do in San José del Cabo which has plenty to offer sight-seers: from natural parks and waterfalls to plazas and ancient missions. Tourists can also indulge in shopping, with an array of spoils available – everything from antique silver to Mexican blankets.

Taxis and buses are the preferred mode of transport within San José del Cabo. The taxi drivers are required by law to display the government-sanctioned rates thereby effectively minimizing the risk of being over-charged the fares. San José del Cabo is mostly sunny. However, rainfall is unpredictable with the occasional cyclone being known to hit San José del Cabo.
