Kos Town is the most beautiful town on the Kos Island and is also the administrative center of the island and its capital. The town features a mix of different architectural styles ranging from ancient to medieval and modern. There are numerous well-preserved Venetian buildings and houses that are surroundings by flourishing gardens. The historic streets of Kos Town are excellent to walk around. Visitors can observe a number of ancient structures while walking around the town.

The main site in Kos Town is the Castle of the Knights of Saint John, which is located on the eastern end of the harbor. The castle is connected to the town with the help of a bridge.
