Kamari is a popular beach resort located about 10km from Fira on the Santorini Island. The beach in Kamari is covered by black sand and on the left side of the beach is a huge rock known as Mesa Vouno. Kamari is an impressive destination especially during nights when the rock shines. The beach in Kamari offers visitors with a number of facilities including umbrellas, sunbeds and different types of water sports.
The houses in Kamari feature traditional architecture and offer views of the sea. The waterfront promenade is quite attractive and is good to take a walk around. There is a road that leads up to the Ancient Thira. During the summer months the beach can get quite crowded.
