Stavanger is a beautiful city located along the southwest coast of Norway. It is the fourth largest city in the country and is also known as the petroleum capital of Norway. The center is around the harbor that features quiet narrow streets of the old town. There are numerous museums and fun things to see and do in Stavanger. Stavanger is a well-known city and a wonderful travel destination in Norway. The city is the administrative capital of the Rogaland County and is popular for housing several 18th and 19th century wooden houses. The hub for the petroleum industry in Norway, Stavangeris located just a few minutes away from some exotic mountain scenes of the country. The Old Stavanger area is especially good to visit. Visitors can wander around the narrow streets and have a look at the historic architecture and wooden houses.
