Not to worry, they're all Halal dishes and have very affordable prices too - perfect for a dine in with family and friends!   1) Nasi tekor Credit: @jalanmakanbali on InstagramThis one-of-a-kind Balinese cuisine is known as Nasi Tekor. Nasi Tekor is a dish which constitutes rice, chicken serapah, lawar, fried beans, Balinese condiments, young banana trunk soup, and all wrapped in traditional banana leaves. You can find this dish at Warung Nasi Tekor, which is located at Kertalangu Village, East Denpasar. There, you can enjoy the atmosphere of eating in an ancient Bali house made up of wood and bamboo! The stall owners I met there are very nice too, so that's definitely a plus. Their menu item is also pretty simple as it consists of various versions of Balinese mixed rice, namely Tekot Jukut Gonde Rice, Lawar Biu Batu Rice, Sere Lemo Grilled Chicken. Besides the food, this stall also sells a variety of drinks such as banana juice ice and coffee. The prices of their menu items range from a low cost of IDR 10,000 to IDR 20,000 only! How can you not resist? So why not pay Warung Nasi Tekor a visit the next time you go to Bali - you really have no reason not to! This delicacy is served with many side dishes such as salted fish, tofu, tempeh, boiled spinach and not forgetting, super-spicy sambal - Yum! As for the main component in this dish, you are free to decide whether you want to have catfish, chicken, duck - the list is endless! Nasi Tempong is sold at a food place called Nasi Tempong Pink, which is located at Jalan Teuku Umar, Denpasar. They also have another stall located at Jalan Raya Kuta. What makes this stall so special is that their entire dining room is coloured in pink - perfect for an Instagrammable shot!Interestingly, their stall goes by this slogan: “Monyor Monyor”. When translated to English, this means that you will be guaranteed to feel a spicy sensation that makes your lips swollen when you eat their food. So if you can take the heat, why not give this a shot! Fret not, their menu items are very affordably-priced at IDR 26,000 to IDR 45,000 only. So if you love spicy food or are up for a challenge, be sure to stop by Nasi Tempong Pink!
