Jogja or Yogyakarta is a city that is full of attraction, beauty, and heritage. Food? Check. Attractions? Check. Money? Safe. So what are you waiting for? Here are the reasons why you should visit Jogja.

Jogja is a city with rich history and stories of its people behind it. Once the capital city of Indonesia and a witness to the past events, the city is full of different cultures that you could experience first-hand. Hey! A trip would not count if you haven’t tried any local culinary. The culinary in Jogja ranges from delicious to simply bizarre and it would not hurt to try. Some of the most popular dishes to try in Jogja which include gudeg, bakpia, jenang, sego kucing, sate klathak, fried grasshoppers, oseng mercon, kopi joss (charcoal coffee), bakmi godhok, and other delicious treats! Also, make sure to treat yourself to some gelatos to defeat the scorching heat of Jogja and share these delicious foods with your family back home by bringing some bakpia or bakpia kukus.
