Miami, Florida is a fun and lively city located on the Atlantic coast in the United States, well known for its beaches, museums, amazing attractions, recreation and sport facilities, top hotels and beautiful parks. Although most people think that Miami Beach is part of Miami City, this is not true. Miami Beach is a coastal resort city in the Miami-Dade County and is a city of its own. Miami also houses several other attractions that are worth the visit, namely; the Miami Children's Museum, Everglades Alligator Farm, Zoo Miami, Monkey Jungle and Jungle Island. For Muslim visitors, there are a fair number of Halal restaurants located in Miami, due to its sizeable Muslim population. These restaurants serve a variety of cuisines ranging from Asian to African and Middle Eastern. Muslim visitors will find it easy to locate Halal food in areas like Boward County, Palm Beach and Dade County. A few Halal restaurants in Miami include; Juicy Gyros, Madras Café, Miami Mediterranean Cuisine, Bollywod Masala and Shawarma Mediterranean Grill. Tourists must be warned that although some restaurants are Muslim owned and/or Halal certified, others do serve alcohol and other non-Halal items and therefore they must be avoided. Before dining at any of the above named restaurants, Muslim tourists are also advised to inquire about the food being Halal certified.
