Miami, Florida is a fun and lively city located on the Atlantic coast in the United States, well known for its beaches, museums, amazing attractions, recreation and sport facilities, top hotels and beautiful parks. The city is one of the most popular destinations in the world and is America’s most exciting cultural destinations that has something for everyone. With great climate all year round, Miami has so much to offer. Although most people think that Miami Beach is part of Miami City, this is not true. Miami Beach is a coastal resort city in the Miami-Dade County and is a city of its own. It is located on a series of natural and man-made barrier islands and is one of the most popular attractions in the United States. Apart from relaxing on the beach and taking leisurely swims, tourists must also visit Miami Beach’s historic Art Deco District; which is home to the world’s largest collection of Art Deco architecture. The Miami Seaquarium is the longest operating oceanarium in the US and offers its visitors a long list of fun activities. The park is located on 38 acres and is home to Dolphins, Killer whales, Sea lions, Manatees, endangered Sea turtles as well as smaller Fish, varieties of Birds and Reptiles. Those visiting the park are given opportunities to become trainers for a day; to train marine mammals, swim and shake hands with and feed the adorable Dolphins and Seals, go on an underwater walking journey to discover unique sea creatures among others in a 300,000 gallon tropical reef and so much more. Miami also houses several other attractions that are worth the visit, namely; the Miami Children's Museum, Everglades Alligator Farm, Zoo Miami, Monkey Jungle and Jungle Island. For Muslim visitors, there are a fair number of Halal restaurants located in Miami, due to its sizeable Muslim population. These restaurants serve a variety of cuisines ranging from Asian to African and Middle Eastern. Muslim visitors will find it easy to locate Halal food in areas like Boward County, Palm Beach and Dade County. A few Halal restaurants in Miami include; Juicy Gyros, Madras Café, Miami Mediterranean Cuisine, Bollywod Masala and Shawarma Mediterranean Grill. Tourists must be warned that although some restaurants are Muslim owned and/or Halal certified, others do serve alcohol and other non-Halal items and therefore they must be avoided. Before dining at any of the above named restaurants, Muslim tourists are also advised to inquire about the food being Halal certified.

Miami is definitely a must-visit when in the United States. Apart from being quite Muslim-friendly, Miami is also family-friendly and is the ideal destination for individuals looking for a bit of relaxation as well as for those looking for adrenaline pumping activities. It is the best of both worlds and visitors will never be disappointed.
