A Weekend Getaway in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is an exciting city that offers visitors with a plethora of attractions. Set amidst beautiful natural surroundings, Hong Kong is also known as the Oriental Pearl. The city is also one of the leading banking and financial centres.

Itinerary

Day 1:

  After Fajr: Early Morning to Mid- Day Destinations
  1. TsimShaTsui Promenade: It is one of the prime spots in Hong Kong with lots of shops, museums and cafes. Spend 2 hours along this street.
  2. Hong Kong Museum of Art: Features excellent collection of Chinese art and antiques. Can take about 2 hours.
  Mosques: Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre Halal Restaurants: Ebeneezer's Kebab, Istanbul Express, Bismillah Fast Food, Aladdin all located along TsimShaTsui.
  Afternoon: Afternoon to Evening Destinations.
  1. Kowloon Walled City Park: Classic Chinese Garden with a long history. Worth visiting. Spend 1-2 hours here.
  2. Hong Kong Museum of History: Take a peek into the history of Hong Kong. Spend 1-2 hours here.
Mosques: Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre Halal Restaurants:Ebeneezer's Kebab, Istanbul Express, Bismillah Fast Food, Aladdin, Lahore Fast Food, Woodlands International Restaurant, etc.
Evening: Evening Destinations and Dining Options.
  1. Avenue of Stars/ Hollywood of the East: Located along the TsimShaTsui waterfront promenade. Spend an hour here.
  2. Nathan Road: Excellent for shopping. It is the most popular street in Kowloon.
Mosque: Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre Halal Restaurants: Ebeneezer's Kebab, Istanbul Express, Bismillah Fast Food, Aladdin, Lahore Fast Food, Woodlands International Restaurant, etc.
 

Day 2:

After Fajr: Early Morning to Mid- Day Destinations.
  1. Aberdeen: A calm fishing village where you can take a sampan ride to get a better peek into the area. Spend about an hour here.
  2. Repulse Bay: A beautiful beach with clear blue waters. The spot is excellent for relaxing and enjoying water activities. Take about 2-3 hours to relax in this environ.
Mosques: Jamia Mosque (about 8Km from Aberdeen close to Victoria Peak) Halal Restaurants: No halal restaurants within close vicinity.
  Afternoon: Afternoon to Evening Destinations.
  1. Ocean Park: One of the best theme parks that has aquariums and also a marine education centre. Spend 3-4 hours here.
Mosques: Jamia Mosque (about 8Km from Aberdeen close to Victoria Peak) Halal Restaurants: No halal restaurants within close vicinity.
Evening: Evening Destinations and Dining Options.
  1. Victoria Peak: The highest point in Hong Kong that gives amazing views of the cityscape and surroundings. Relax in this area for an hour.
  2. Central and SoHo: Walking around the area and enjoy an excellent shopping experience.
Mosques: Jamia Masjid at Shelly Street Halal Restaurants: Habibi Café, Jashan Celebrating Indian Cuisine, Oh Food Arabic Halal Cuisine, etc.
Miscellaneous:
  •  If you have an extra day, spend it at the Disneyland Resort located on the Lantau Island.
  • Restaurants: Throughout Hong Kong there are several halal restaurants serving Afghani, Chinese, Middle Eastern and Asian cuisines.
  •  Souvenirs: Suits, electronics, chopsticks, porcelain, traditional Chinese clothing, tea, etc.
  • Transportation: The best way to travel around is by public transport. You can take mass transit rail, trams, buses or ferries. Taxis are also a convenient means of travelling around.
