You might be wondering why CrescentRating is mentioned here on HalalTrip. Well, long story short, HalalTrip and CrescentRating are like family.
CrescentRating was founded in 2008 in a quest to make the travel industry cater to Muslim travelers and embrace them as part of visitor diversity initiatives. It now provides insights, research, consultancy, training, rating, and destination marketing services to every sector of the tourism industry from Government bodies to hotels to enable Muslim travelers an inclusive segment in the destination.
Since 2015, CrescentRating has also partnered with Mastercard to develop industry-leading research reports on the Muslim travel market. The "Mastercard-CrescentRating Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI)" is now the premier resource to benchmark destinations on Halal Travel.
"We are humbled to receive this award. It is another milestone in raising awareness of Muslim travelers and making them feel inclusive in the tourism sector. We are glad that we have been able to do our part in changing the travel industry's perception of Muslim travelers and help build bridges between communities. As a result, many destinations are now equipping themselves to embrace this segment in their visitor diversification strategy." said Fazal Bahardeen, CEO of CrescentRating & HalalTrip.
