Day 4 in the Philippines with Syazwan – Exploring Manila
I was so happy when I woke up to a luxurious room offered by Marriott Hotel, but at the same time my heart sank when I realized that it meant that it was my last day in the Philippines. Wish I could've extended my stay but unfortunately I had responsibilities at work. So I got out of bed, went to the bathroom and submerged my body in the bathtub with warm water. I was eyeing that bathtub since yesterday. It took us 1 hour to get ourselves ready and we headed to Marriott Cafe on the ground floor to have our breakfast. We spent quite some time filling our stomachs; the buffet was splendid and not disappointing. So we left happily and headed to Mananzan Handicrafts where my wife felt so touched by the pearl bracelet that I got for her. Jangan cakap abang tak payung ye. *wink2* We bought souvenirs for our loved ones and we proceeded to Intramuros. The oldest district and historic core of Manila. We went to Fort Santigo which was one of the oldest fortifications on the site of the native settlement Raja Soliman. We saw many bullet marks on the wall - probably from World War II which happened many years ago. After studying the place, we went to Manila Golden Mosque which is still largest Mosque in Manila. We performed our peaceful Zuhr prayer there and headed off for our lunch at "The Pantry" in Dusit Thani Hotel. Manila-Mosque We never got bored by their nourishments. Good food gives me a good mood. However it did not not last that long and my mood went down. It was my last lunch with the HalalTrip team and we really enjoyed ourselves - snacking and laughing at everyone's jokes. We hugged and said our last goodbyes after shopping at Greenbelt Mall. We boarded our plane at Ninoy Aquino Airport and found our seats by the window as I looked back at the beautiful moments that we created together with the HalalTrip team. Me and my wife hope that maybe someday we can see each other again. Signing out, Syazwan Yunos. .
