Best Budget-Friendly Attractions

The Discovery Center of Taipei is similar to a museum located in Xinyi District, Taipei. Entry into the museum is free of charge. However, the management still requires visitors to register in order to enter the museum. These conditions, among others, are required to show proof of identity in order to register.

After all these processes have been passed, then visitors can explore this four-story building. The adventure can be started from the second floor which is a special exhibition area. If lucky, visitors can see the works of famous Taipei artists being exhibited there.

Moving on to the third floor, visitors will be treated to the history of transportation, culture, and customs of the people of Taipei. Here, visitors will be invited to understand the city of Taipei. So in-depth that it will feel as if you are actually visiting each district. This area is a favorite area for the younger ones because of the many interactive games that aren't only entertaining but also very informational in introducing Taipei.

Several foreign visitors who have visited the Discovery Center of Taipei mentioned, the fourth floor is their favorite place. On the fourth floor, the top floor, there is an auditorium theater that displays Taipei city on a 360-degree screen, all over. Uniquely, the audience area in this theater can rotate 360 degrees.

As spectators, visitors just need to sit on the benches that have been served. When a short film about Taipei's history is shown, the audience seats will also be played slowly. That way the audience will feel the sensation of watching that is different from the cinema in general. In this theater, there are often interesting shows for the people of Taipei, not only about history.

If visitors are really interested in digging more into Taipei's history, this fourth floor is a great choice. There are many dioramas here that show the history of the Taipei civilization that is thousands of years old. Just like museums in general, visitors can see these dioramas from behind the glass. Dioramas with each other are presented beautifully with advanced storylines, in tune with the development of the century.
