HalalTrip is delighted to release the latest version of its market-leading app to meet the needs of its users.
The mobile app has been upgraded with additional features and functions to offer Muslim travellers an improved and enhanced user-experience like never before. This includes a much wider range of content and many new features. In effect, it's a whole new app.
The app focuses on key aspects of Muslim-friendly travel with an aim to make the entire journey much better and more enjoyable.
Our technical team have listened to the feedback from those who have been using the app and have created a better and seamless experience.

One of the most exciting features of the app - Halal food spotter - has undergone an upgrade to increase usability and real-time sharing. The app's existing Halal food spotter feature is wholly user-generated and lets Muslim travellers “spot” and share images of their Halal food dishes with other users around the world. With the latest updates made to the app, users can now upload images directly from their image gallery when convenient.
A new "MyDishes" tab has also been included and displays all the Halal food dishes that were shared by the user. Another upgrade to the Halal food spotter is the inclusion of city and country names for the dishes listed under the "Latest", "Favourites" and "MyDishes" tabs. The new settings lets users specify a radius for nearby dishes and also lets them share a dish, write a review or edit a review at any time. With sharing useful information a key functionality of the website, user profiles have also been upgraded to allow better management.
The new version of the app lets users specify a unique username during account creation and also lets users customise their profile by adding a profile picture and a background image of their choice. Privacy is very important to every user and another feature upgrade sees the app's privacy settings now allows users to remain anonymous when sharing dishes and not have their profile image and name displayed. This enables users to better manage their online privacy.
Some of the other existing features of the app include an in-flight prayer time calculator, a collection of Islamic travel prayers as well as an option to choose between an English or Arabic user interface. Further upgrades will also be made to the app in the future and will see the inclusion of a direct booking service to let users make hotel reservations via the HalalTrip app. If you already have the app on your device, simply update the app now to enjoy all the exciting new features.
