La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah Dua Transliteration

لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّٰهِ

La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah

There is no might nor power except with Allah

Importance, Benefits, and Why You Should Recite The Dua

This dua had its own importance to be read as it is as a dhikr, representing our position as humans in front of Allah. This phrase shows that we as humans had no power or might in all matters without the help of Allah, and therefore should dedicate and surrender ourselves to Allah and His wills. Rasulullah (SAW) has said that "Whoever is slow to receive his sustenance, let him say a lot of La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah.", which refers to Allah, His will, and His permission (At-Thabrani).

In another reference, this phrase is also believed that aside from we as humans are dependent on Allah, reciting this dua will also imply that we as humans are not able to reject and prevent the bad and immoral things without His help. Aside from the importance, this dua will also bring some benefits and blessings into our lives, some of which include:

1. A form of submission to God. There is no ability to avoid immorality except with the help of Allah and there is no power to obey except with His help. This is as heard by the Messenger of Allah from Jibril.

2. Protected from poverty. In the book Fawaid ash-Syarji, that Ibn Abi Dun-ya said the virtue of the sentence hauqolah whose chain reached the Messenger of Allah, that he said, "Whoever reads laa haula 100 times a day then he will not be afflicted by poverty forever.".

3. It is prayed for by all creatures on earth when they are in trouble. The next priority is to be prayed for by all creatures on earth and in the oceans.

4. Lafadz that could help us in our way to Jannah as it is a form of the lafadz recited by the plants of heaven.
