LATEST: You Don't Want To Miss Dubai's New Islamic History Park

Dubai is known to be the land of luxury. One of the best vacation spots which never stops giving and impressing! In an effort to prove this, a beautiful unique destination has recently opened up. Dubai’s Al Quran Park opened in May and as if that wasn’t a big enough treat, the new affordable, romantic destination is free!

The Dubai Municipality announced on its official Twitter account that the “Al Quran Park in Al Khawaneej area will open soon & will be free of charge to all visitors; in order to let them enjoy the beautiful views in this unique park establish by the Municipality.”

The park features no walls and is situated in the Al Khawaneej area; known as Dubai’s agricultural heartland making it a picturesque location that transports you to a spiritual haven.

Spanning an area of 600,000sq meters, the park has 12 gardens with free unwalled entry, filled with fragrant herbs, fruits, and vegetables. It is the highlighted point of the Quran Park and it resonates with what is mentioned in the Quran. Areas within the park are further divided into different themed gardens such as the Islamic Garden and the Andalusian Garden which commemorates different Islamic achievements.

Other features included along the park are solar panel-ed trees designed with art inspired Arabic and Islamic motifs, a Wifi system, phone charging stations (in case our phones run out of juice from all the picture taking) and of course shaded areas for visitors as the heat in Dubai is relentless.

If you think that is the end of it, well there's more! The features of the park don’t cease to impress just yet. The Cave of Miracles is an added feature which showcases seven miracles mentioned in the Quran reconstructed with modern technology and techniques. In addition, the Glass House contains the plants mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Prophet’s Sunnah. The carefully controlled glasshouse uses advanced technology and regulations to ensure certain temperatures for the environment, thus allowing these plants to be displayed all under one roof.

These attractions require an entry fee of 10 AED which is the equivalent of about 5 USD or 4GBP, a small fee to witness such significant sights.

Both educative and eye-opening, the Park was designed to provide visitors a chance to learn about the many miracles mentioned in the Holy Quran. It is a great affordable attraction for both Muslims and Non-Muslims, tourists or inhabitants. Its accessibility and versatility in purpose mean that any visitor can enjoy it in the way that suits them. Families with children between 2 and 12 years old can have a good time in a choice of 2 parks or can even attend an educative experience preparing them for Hajj and Umrah. Couples on honeymoon can stroll along the beautiful engraved colored floors and past the orchard fields.

The huge span of the Quran Park means that the experience will constantly be an adventure and an inspiration for each individual visitor in their own special way.

Currently a History and Arabic student with a huge ambition and passion for travelling. Inshallah, my hope is to see the beautiful world God has created and share the beauty with you lovely readers.
