Ramadan 2021 | #PledgeYourLunch: Fattoum, A Displaced Mother of Four

By Halal Trip | 07, May, 2021

Of all the hardships one has to endure, mothers will accept the most for the sake of their children. Fattoum is a Yemeni mother, widowed and displaced with her four daughters. She dedicates herself to bearing all challenges in order to ensure her children are cared for. In Fattoum’s words, “One cannot but thank Allah for the good and the bad”.

The Prophet (saw) said: “Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).”
