CrescentRating and MasterCard have officially released the second publication of the Global Muslim Travel Index, providing rankings of the best destinations in the world for Musilm travellers. 130 destinations have been classified into OIC Destinations and non-OIC Destinations and ranked based on how well they cater to Muslim travellers.

Malaysia - home to an abundance of Muslim-friendly facilities and an excellent family-friendly atmosphere - was declared the best destination in the world for Muslim travellers. The other top destinations in the OIC destination category also offer plenty of facilities - including Halal food and prayer facilities - and make fantastic destinations for Muslim travellers. Travellers will be able to find sufficient facilities at the top ranked non-OIC destinations as well, such as Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom and South Africa, which are all able to cater to Muslim travellers well.
