The Hotel

Travelers, in general, may have a lot of worries regarding access to amenities and having to adjust to their new surroundings. Muslim travelers have the added worry of ensuring halal environments. Warm Life Hotel ensures a great more than most hotels, as it does not serve alcohol nor have a bar. Muslim travelers can be content in knowing the whole hotel is a safe haven for them and their children.

As if this wasn’t enough, special requests like Halal Suhoor in Ramadan or on days you choose to fast can be provided at the times you need it. This is a lovely service that creates a wholesome halal experience for Muslims, without alienating the Muslim community.

If required, the hotel offers services for the arrangement of private transport as well as guidance on going to the nearby mosques for late Taraweeh prayers as well as other prayers you may wish to attend at the mosque. If you happen to find yourself at the Warm Life Hotel during the Eid festivities, then the Hotel can also provide transport on these blessed days.

Halal Dining at the Warm Life Hotel

The Warm Life Hotel ensures that the food and drink it provides throughout the whole hotel is halal. Gone are the days where you look behind the packaging to search for the haram ingredients.

All the snacks and drinks made available in your room are Halal — your only worry is how much you indulge in the minibar now that there are no limits. The hotel has a Halal-certified kitchen with a certificate provided by the national shariah organization in Taiwan. The Taipei Mosque’s explanation of the Halal Certification claims that it was the Ming Dynasties in China who was the first to clearly label Halal food. Hence all food prepared in the kitchen is ready for eating, including breakfast.

The Taipei Grand Mosque is a beautiful abode for the Muslim community within the region. The mosque is more than a place of worship. It’s also a cultural, educational, and spiritual haven. Inspired by the traditional practices of a mosque, the Grand Mosque of Taipei offers seminars and workshops on the Quran and Arabic. The mosque is home to a colorful growing community of Muslims.

Opening its doors in 1949, the Mosque has a unique style that merges local Taiwanese inspirations alongside classical Islamic architectural features. The mosque is a beautiful meeting ground of Romanesque, Ottoman, Central Asian, and Taiwanese influences. Similarly, the mosque was built as a socio-political collaboration between government departments and Taiwanese Muslims. This fostered a great meeting ground for international relationships to blossom, as can be seen through the visits of various leaders from Iran, Jordan, Turkey, and Iraq.

In total across Taiwan, there are currently only 11 mosques but this is still considerable considering statistics estimate Taiwan has a small population of 0.3% Muslims. Most of these Muslims are Sunni descending from Hui Muslims. Muslim travelers should not worry though, as Taiwan has a welcoming and understanding approach to Muslims. Generally, Taiwan does not discriminate against Muslims and there aren’t tensions between the different religious communities.
