Upon entering the month of Ramadan, it would be better if you make an exciting activity plan aside from your regular schedule. This activity planning is certainly an activity that can make you enthusiastic and enjoy doing it. Then, unconsciously, as you enjoy your activities, you will forget about your hunger and thirst.

For example, you can read your favorite novel, have a fun sharing session with coworkers, play entertaining mini-games during breaks, participate in Islamic studies, learn how to make cakes, play tennis on weekends, organize iftar together, look for snacks to break the fast, and so on.

You can also arrange these schedules the day before tomorrow starts so that you have an idea of the activities you will do. That way, even with ongoing work obligations during fasting, you can still be happy and enthusiastic about doing it.

2. Don’t Skip Suhoor and Eat Nutritious Food!muslims doing suhoor

Who enjoys skipping suhoor because they sleep so comfortably that when they open their eyes, the morning call to prayer has already begun? Even though suhoor is Sunnah in Islam, it is strongly advised to do it. Actually, suhoor can be thought of as our super early breakfast before conducting activities. Especially for you, workers!

If you skip suhoor , you automatically won't get enough food and nutrition, and you will become more tired throughout the day. Moreover, you could get sick. suhoor provides a source of energy to begin the day. Aside from that, sahur contains exceptional advantages and virtues.

Thus, if you do suhoor, remember to eat healthy foods. Because, in addition to saving energy, you must also consider your health as a result of the food you consume. Avoid foods and beverages that cause sickness. Also, avoid caffeine. You can replace it by drinking water or healthy juice. Don't forget to eat vegetables and fruit! If your nutritional requirements are met, you will not fall asleep, much alone feel lazy and weak when fasting.

3. Get Enough Sleepsleep after work

During the month of Ramadan, make sure your sleep needs are met. Usually, we tend to like staying up late and choose to finish work at night. This can cause us to become tired and sleepy quickly when we go through the next day. Especially when fasting. Your days at work will become less and less energetic during fasting.

So, attempt to make a timetable the day before to determine what work you want to do outside of work hours. You can do it gradually, but make sure to manage the time properly so you can maintain your sleep. Don't let tasks pile up or be completed all at once, causing you to lose sleep and even miss sahur because you're too busy.

If symptoms of drowsiness begin to appear, this is a sign that you need to rest. Don't be forced to continue completing work until late. To stay motivated at work, getting enough rest is one of the main factors.

4. Prioritize on What Matters Mostto do list

Another way to stay motivated at work is to prioritize what matters most when completing your work. Try making a to-do list before starting the day and prioritizing the work you want to do tomorrow. You can also assign categories to each list so that it looks neater and more organized.

Making a list aims to give you guidance to see which work priorities you should tackle first. Every time you want to start doing something, you have your own reminder and tracker. Especially when fasting. Maybe without us realizing it, sometimes we often forget due to losing focus on an empty stomach. With a tracker and reminder via a to-do list, your work can be automatically completed one by one.

Next, determine which jobs must be completed first and which have longer deadlines. Determine which tasks you believe are more urgent to complete initially. When the pressing item is completed, you can resume other tasks. Don't forget to check off the tasks you've accomplished so you can be more motivated to finish the rest of the list. If you do it in phases, the process will not feel as burdensome.

Of course, the month of Ramadan provides an opportunity for us to increase our worship and get closer to Allah SWT. Throughout the month, you have the opportunity to improve your worship with your whole heart. You can work hard but not lose out on worship.

You can start by reading the Al-Quran in between times, taking part in Islamic studies, giving charity, doing Qiyamul-lail or night prayers, Iktikaf or staying silent while reflecting in the mosque, sharing religion with teachers, increasing dhikr or remembering Allah, and so on.

Don't forget to continue to increase your prayers in the month of Ramadan, which is full of blessings and mercy from Allah SWT. Raise all your hopes before Him. Describe everything that makes your head full. Don't let yourself suffer losses because you don't make good use of this month of Ramadan. You can do dhikr, or remembering Allah SWT, in between times while finishing your tasks at the office. Ask Him for strength so that your efforts are blessed. Surely, things will feel easier. Do not forget to begin everything with prayer. Also, before you start your day, say something encouraging to yourself so that your days feel better.

After a day of fasting while working, it's a good idea to set aside a special time for breaking the fast. The tought of meeting friends and family could also motivate you to do your best on your work and finish them early. Consider it a self-reward after work. In this case, you can schedule a specific time to break the fast with coworkers or family. Determine which restaurant you want to attend and make a reservation no later than D-1 because the establishment will be crowded with people after the fast ends. Talk to your friends or family about which restaurant you want to attend.

Apart from breaking the fast outside, breaking the fast at home with family or colleagues is also highly recommended. You can plan what menus will be served at the dinner table when it's time to break the fast. Don't forget to take takjil, or snacks. Especially thirst-quenching drinks. Prepare everything carefully so that breaking the fast with you becomes more exciting and meaningful.
