Day 1 : Welcome to Sarajevo & Old Town Tour
Arrive at Saraejvo Airport where you will be welcomed by our team.
Transfer to your hotel, rest and refresh. Then take a walking tour of the Old Town, with buildings from the time of the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian empires, as well as architecture from World War II and the communist era.
Learn about the fascinating interfaith history and traditions of Sarajevo, where Muslims, Christians, and Jews have lived together for centuries.
Explore the amazing 550-year-old waqf of Gazi Husref Bey, who was governor of Bosnia and built most of the Old Town.
Explore the busy Ottoman marketplace and enjoy delicious Bosnian food and desserts.
Day 2 : Sarajevo Discovery
Discover the beauty of Sarajevo alongside its tragic history.
Start the day with the war tour - visit the location of the Franz Ferdinand assassination that started World War 1 and learn about the events of that fateful day.
Take a tour of the sites of the Siege of Sarajevo, part of the Bosnian War of 1990’s which saw massive destruction and the genocide of Muslims – and the bravery of the Bosnian defenders of all religions who united and struggled against huge odds to achieve victory.
Visit the Lion Cemetery and make dua for the shaheeds.
Travel to the spring of the River Bosna and relax in beautiful nature among a green pine forest, then take a lovely horse carriage ride.
Visit the incredible Tunnel of Hope, which was built in 1993 under the airport, and learn about the story of this miraculous lifeline for the people of Sarajevo, surrounded and under siege—shelled daily by Serbian artillery for over 3 years.
Visit the Trebevic Mountain and take a break at Sunnyland Restaurant, which has great panoramic views of Sarajevo. Try the exciting alpine coaster ride (separate fee).
Proceed to the top of the mountain and take a cable car ride back down into the city.
Day 3 : Central Bosnia Tour
Travel to central Bosnia and visit Travnik with a rich culture and its amazing Coloured Mosque (1757) and Ottoman fortress.
Relax at the beautiful Blue Water spring merging out of the mountainside and enjoy delicious local food in beautiful riverside restaurants.
Visit villages and meet the friendly locals.
Visit Ahmici village and the memorial to a war crime committed here against Muslims in 1993.
Day 4 : Olympic Mountains Tour
Travel to the mountains where the 1984 Winter Olympics were held – widely regarded as the best Olympics ever.
Enjoy beautiful scenery and walk in the fresh mountain air. Visit the Army Mosque, built during the war and learn about its amazing story. Take a cable car ride. Enjoy lunch in the mountains.
Day 5 : Herzegovina Tour
Travel south along a green valley, past beautiful lakes and rivers to the UNESCO heritage city of Mostar – the ‘pearl of the Adriatic’.
Take a tour of the old town, the Ottoman marketplace and the world famous Stari Most bridge, as well as the Koski Mehmet Pasha Mosque and more.
Visit the Skybridge on a mountain for spectacular views and try the 1000m zipline (separate fee).
Proceed to Blagaj with its 450-year-old Dervish House stunningly located by the source of the river Buna and the base of a cliff.
Along the journey stop by the riverside to enjoy delicious roast lamb or grilled fish dishes
Day 6 : Free Day
An easy day for rest and relaxation. Explore Sarajevo and enjoy the city life, cafes, markets, malls, restaurants, museums, and cultural sights.
Day 7 : Srebrenica Tour
Visit the scene of Genocide in Europe that took place when this town was abandoned by the UN and fell to Serbian extremist forces on 11 July 1995.
Learn about the tragic story of betrayal at the touching Memorial centre surrounded by the over 8370 graves of the Muslim victims.
Meet local survivors who returned with great bravery and dignity despite the hardship and enjoy lunch with the Muslim villagers, who will share their experiences - their resilience is humbling.
Day 8 : Farewell Bosnia
After breakfast check out and transfer to the airport. End of trip.
