People’s Park is the ideal place for those looking to relax after touring the numerous historical sites in Waterford, and for those looking to escape the busy city. Located adjacent to Waterford’s City Centre, People’s Park is great for both; kids and adults, as it offers a variety of facilities and fun activities. There is a skateboarding park, two playgrounds, paths to explore the park, paths for jogging, a cycle track and so on. People’s Park also hosts a variety of entertainment shows during the summer and is thus a popular place amongst locals and tourists alike. Visitors to the park will be able to get a bite to eat at the Park Lodge Café.

Although Muslims will not be able to find prayer facilities at People’s Park, they are sure to locate a secluded area within the park to offer their prayers. They could also visit one of the few mosques in the city of Waterford, namely the Central Watford Mosque and the North Watford Mosque.

As mentioned above, visitors to People’s Park will be able to find a variety of refreshments at the Park Lodge Café. Muslim visitors will however have to select vegetarian or seafood items, as non-Halal ingredients are sure to be used. They could also visit one of the few Halal restaurants in the town of Waterford.
