Puerto Galera is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, like Sabang Beach, Big La Laguna Beach, Small La Laguna Beach and White Beach. Sabang Beach is known for its nightlife and for being a party destination which means it is not a good choice for families. While Small La Laguna Beach is a little more relaxed, the beach here is not that great. Big La Laguna Beach is therefore probably the best out of the lot for families. Said to be one of the best beaches in the whole world, let alone in the Philippines, Big La Laguna Beach is a must-visit when in Puerto Galera. This popular tourist spot offers a variety of activities, with the most popular ones however being snorkeling and diving. Under the beautiful azure waters divers will come across stunning corals and underwater life forms as well as a variety of exotic fish. Big La Laguna Beach is also known to be one of the safest beaches, and is great for swimming; therefore making it the ideal spot for a family outing.

Since the beach is a little more relaxed in comparison to Subang Beach, visitors should be able to locate a clean and quiet place on the beach itself to offer their prayers.

Visitors to Big La Laguna Beach will be able to find a few food stalls surrounding the beach. While these establishments may not be Halal certified, Muslim tourists may be able to find some suitable vegetarian or seafood dishes on the menu. Because Halal food is quiet difficult to find in Puerto Galera, it is best for Muslim visitors to take along some snacks when exploring.
