The Sydney Olympic Park is a massive sporting complex located about 16 kilometres towards the west of the Sydney city centre. The complex was established in 1996 and the entire site was host to the Sydney Olympics in 2000. The park has undergone significant development since the completion of the 2000 Olympics in order to turn the venue into a multipurpose facility. At present, the site is an excellent venue for various events, sports, leisure time, education and nature. Several restaurants and eateries are available at the Sydney Olympic Park, as well as free exhibitions of modern art, kiddies parks and bike safari circuits. It is popular tourist attraction and is visited by over 10 million visitors every year. The Sydney Olympic Park is definitely worth a visit while sight-seeing Syndey.
