Malagos Garden Resort

Description

Malagos Garden Resort is a 12 hectare nature themed paradise filled with trees, landscaped gardens, orchids and ornamental flowering plants. The Waling Waling Forest is full of waling waling orchids that are native to the Philippines, and conservation of this plant is encouraged. This has also become a popular destination with tourists who enjoy interacting with nature and observing wildlife. Animal lovers can visit The Malalgos Bird Park, The Butterfly Sanctuary and the Petting Zoo which has miniature horses and farm animals as well. Activities like horseback riding, ball games and tours are also carried out within the resort. Some of the other attractions worth visiting include the Bird Feeding and Watching Dome where visitors can interact with parrots, cockatoos and livestock birds like ducks and pheasants too. Art enthusiasts can view sculptures of National Artist, Napoleon Abueva displayed throughout the gardens. Currently 60 pieces of Abueva’s artwork are housed within the resort.

Prayer Facilities

There are private indoor and outdoor areas than can be used as prayer facilities at Malagos Garden Resort. Mosques near the resort might not be found. But Muslim travellers to the Davao can vsit the Piapi Mosque and the Davao City Islamic Centre. 

Halal Food

There are a few Halal restaurants near the resort. Do not hesitate to ask staff if they serve Halal food at the restaurant before placing orders. You can always order seafood or vegetarian meals to be safe.
