Siargao is known for being one of the top places to surf in the world by tourists and locals alike. There are several spots that are great for surfing that range from beginner to expert level and each resort has different rates when renting a surfboard. There are few surf shops where you can rent out or buy surfboards. The most popular surfing spot is Cloud 9 that is consideredas one the best surf spots in the world. Tuason’s point, Daku Island, Caridad and Quicksilver are some of the other spots that surfer flock to. Visitors will find several surf resorts located throughout the island to choose from. There are other fun activities to enjoy such as diving, snorkeling, kayaking, kite surfing and much more. Sirgao is also a place where you can try island hopping by paying a visit to the beautiful solitary islands located around the main island. There are surf camps where you can learn how to surf and some places even have separate surfing sessions for women.

Prayer Facilities

Muslim travelers to Siargao will not find prayer facilities at the island. Mosques near the island are only in Surigao City which include the Surigao Central mosque and the Surigao Islamic Centre mosque

Halal Food

If you are on a tour, ask the guide if they will serve Halal food at the island if meals are a part of the package. If not you can order vegetarian or seafood items at resorts. You will not find Halal restaurants near the sites, but only at Surigao City. You can ask some of the locals or tour guides to help locate Halal restaurants.
