Leblon hides between Ipanema and Copacabana. Ideal for anyone who wants to escape into solitude and enjoy the privacy and the silence that nature is willing to offer.  The panorama is breathtaking. This place is known for its luxury, surrounded by exquisite hotels and restaurants. It is a wealthy district with high-end shopping malls. The beach is usually visited by the upper class and the crowd is quieter than in Ipanema. This beach has a separate play area to entertain children. It is an enclosed playground, which includes a baby changing station. Leblon is also famous for their shopping malls. On Av Afranio de Melo Franco there is a mall consisting of 200 stores, 4 cinemas and a food court that overlooks the lagoon. Leblon consists of expensive hotels such as Hotel Marina Palace, Sheraton with a direct access to the beach. Apart from this there are other hotels that are away from the beach but are equally expensive like the Ritz Plaza and Claridge. Leblon is a place rich in history; it was known as a hiding spot for runaway slaves. There are many cultural places sitting around Leblon for anyone who is interested in learning their history. Today it is one of the most beautiful places with the sun kissed beaches.
