Opened to the public in 1989 to mark the 100th year of the history of automobiles, the Toyota Automobile Museum exhibits Toyota's storied past. The museum is located about 40 minutes away from the main Nagoya city, in the the Nagakute-cho area of Aichi and features over 100 automobiles from Japan, Europe and America that date back to the early 20th century. These restored cars are in quite good condition and the museum includes a hand-built replica of the very first Toyota model - the Toyota AA. The museum also offers a reading centre with almost 10,000 books about automobiles from Japan as well as foreign countries. 

Ticket Price

Tickets cost around ¥1000 for adults, ¥500 for seniors (aged 65 or over), and ¥600 for children and young adults.

Open from 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily (except on Mondays)

Designated prayer room facilities at the Automobile Museum will be unavailable, but it is possible to enquire the locals for a private area that can be used during prayer times.
