A trip to Los Angeles is not complete without a visit to the world renowned Santa Monica Pier. Los Angeles is known to be home to some of the best beaches in Southern California, and therefore a visit to the two mile long Santa Monica Beach is a definite must. The Santa Monica Pier is located on the beachfront and is a landmark consisting of numerous fantastic restaurants, shops and boutiques, the Playland Arcade, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, a 1922 Carousel and the Pacific Park. The Pacific Park is a family-friendly amusement park that is home to a variety of fun rides and attractions for kids and adults alike. Those visiting the park must make it a point to ride on the nine-story Pacific Wheel; which is the world’s only solar powered Ferris wheel. They will also come across the five-story West Coaster, the nine-story Pacific Plunge tower ride and the only over-water miniature golf course. The pier is great for a stroll; the environment is electric and it is packed to the brim with attractions for the entire family.
