Prague is an ancient city that has seen several phases and rulers. Right from the Bohemian times to the Nazis, and Velvet Revolution; the city has seen everything that has touched Europe. For many visitors, Prague features the most beautiful skyline in Europe. Located along the banks of the Vltava River, there are numerous romantic settings where visitors can spend time with their loved ones. A walk across the Charles Bridge and a boat ride in the Vltava River are highly recommended.

Prague Castle is one of the main landmarks in the city. It is composed of a complex of buildings sitting on a hilltop. The winding cobblestone streets in the Old City take visitors back to medieval times. On the western bank of the Vltava River is the Lesser Town which is one of the most impressive settings of Prague. There are several museums in Prague that are worth visiting. The best museums to visit in the city include the Czech National Museum, Mucha Museum, Prague City Museum, Czech Museum of Fine Arts, etc.

Prague offers an exciting shopping scenario. The streets in the Old Town are rigged with several shops. The Havelock Market is an excellent place for shopping for handicrafts. There are several shopping centers around Wenceslas Square. Some good shopping malls in the city include Palladium, Palac Flora, OC Chodov, etc.

Nearby Airports

Prague is served by the Vaclav Havel Airport which is located about 20 km from the city center and it takes about 30 minutes to reach. From the airport, visitors can take airport buses, shuttles, taxis, or private cars. Buses ideally cost from 32 CZK to 40 CZK depending on the bus taken. Taxis to the city center ideally cost 650 to 850 CZK.

Halal Restaurants

Some excellent Halal restaurants can also be found in the city. Chez Amis at Spálená 15, Praha 1 is a fantastic spot for Arabic food for good value. Other popular Halal restaurants in Prague include Istanbul Kebab at Politických vězňů 933/17, Piccadilly Halal Fast food at Opletalová 22, Hallal Restaurant at Růžová 10, Hanedan at Jindřišská 20 and Khankhala Indian Restaurant on the top floor of the Palladium shopping center, Namesti Republiky. Other places where visitors can find Halal food in Prague include Mailsi Restaurant, Casablanca Gyros Pizza, El Emir, Himalaya Restaurant, etc.

Mosques

Prague is home to a sizable Muslim population. The city is home to two mosques: The Islamic Centre of Prague at Blatská 1491 and the Mosque in Prague City Center, at 14 Politických vězňů Street, Praha 1. The Islamic Center of Prague is the more prominent mosque and sees a good community, with Juma Khutba starting at 1:00. The mosque in Prague City Center is a prayer area in a large building and can be easily found.
