The Sharm El Sheikh Airport serves the city; the airport caters to charter flights and the domestic carrier EgyptAir. The airport is located about 18 Km from the city center. Visitors can take taxis and buses from the airport to any part of the city. It ideally takes 15 minutes from the airport to reach the city center.
There are a number of halal restaurants in SharmEl Sheikh. Almost all the places serve halal food. Some good places to dine in SharmEl Sheikh include El Fanar, Old Town Restaurant, Abou El Sid, Zaman, etc. Visitors should confirm before dining as many places also serve alcohol.
There are a few mosques in SharmEl Sheikh. The most prominent mosque in SharmEl Sheikh is the Al Mustafa Mosque and the other is the El Salam Mosque.
