Sitting on the Piedmont Plateau in Northern Georgia, Atlanta is a beautiful city with lots of fun and interesting things to see and do. The city is home to the CNN studios that visitors can take a tour of. The Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site is another intriguing site to visit. There are several interesting museums across the city good for visiting. Some of the best museums are Atlanta History Center, Jimmy Carter Library and Museum,Museum of Design Atlanta, Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, etc.

Atlanta is known for buildings with beautiful architecture. The Inman Park is a great place to visit for architecture lovers. The best place to get a complete view of the city skyline is the Sundial atthe Westin Peachtree. The city also has numerous parks and green spaces, the best being the Piedmont Park, Grant Park and the Centennial Olympic Park. The Atlanta Zoo makes a wonderful site to visit.

When it comes to shopping, Atlanta is a wonderful place to shop. The area of Buckhead is home to several well-known brands. The Bennett Street and the Virginia Highland are also good places to shop. The Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the main airport serving Atlanta. The airport is located about 8 miles from downtown Atlanta and is one of the busiest airports in the world. Shuttles vans, taxis and car rentals are easily available from the airport to any location in the city. A one-way taxi ride from the airport to downtown can cost around $30 and to Buckhead can cost $40.
