Burgas is among the larger cities in Bulgaria. The city center of Burgas is quite compact and it is best for visitors to walk around and see the attractions, as most of them are located in the city center. There is a decent stretch of beach in the city which is located close to the beautiful attraction of Sea Garden. The Sea Garden has several species of flora and also gives an amazing view of the Burgas Bay. There are a set of stairs from the Sea garden that lead to the beach. There is also a T-shaped pier in the Sea Garden that serves as a viewing platform.

There are three lakes that surround Burgas. The Vaya Lake is the main lake and also the largest natural lake in Bulgaria. The Atanasovsko Lake is located to the north of Burgas and is connected to the Black Sea. The Mandrensko Lake is located in the south of Burgas and there are four rivers that drain into this lake. Apart from exotic natural scenery, Burgas also offers a good range of museums. The Archaeological Museum has several exhibits dating from the Roman, Greek and Byzantine era. The Nature and Science Museum also has several exhibits of flora and fauna.

There are two main streets in Burgas and each of them is rigged with several shops. The gold shops in the area are quite popular. There are also a number of shopping malls in the city that offer visitors with several things to buy and also some fun things to do. The Burgas Plaza Mall is one of the best shopping malls in the city located at the end of the Izgrev living districts. Visitors can also find several international brands in Burgas.

Burgas is served by the Burgas Airport. Visitors can take buses or taxis from the airport to reach the city.
