Why You Should Recite The Dua

While we might be resting well, finding solace in the comfort of our cozy beds beneath the protective shelter of our roofs, and enjoying warm dinners, our brothers and sisters on the other side of the world are not as fortunate as we are right now to enjoy those kinds of privileges. What the Palestinians are going through — enduring hardships that are beyond our ability to comprehend — will never be able to be described by people who are not experiencing them firsthand. The scars they bear from their current struggles are deep and enduring, and they may never heal.

As we count our blessings, express gratitude, and appreciate the things that are given in life, we are also hoping for our brothers and sisters to be able to enjoy these things as soon as possible. Therefore, during these times, we encourage fellow Muslims to help as much as we can. While engaging in charitable and humanitarian work may not be feasible for everyone, reciting prayers and supplications (duas) while hoping for better days for their well-being and safety, as we hope for improved well-being and safety for our brethren, is the least we can offer as compassionate humans and fellow Muslims. This dua, if recited, holds the direct meaning of asking for safety and giving the Muslims some ease with the current situation.

We shall remind ourselves that he is Al-Malik (The King), Al-Muhaymin (The Protector) and Al-Aziz (The Almighty). Therefore, we place our trust in Allah SWT. We must know and remember that Allah is watching every struggle that our brothers and sisters are currently going through and enduring, and we will and must do our part by being the voice to share and amplify your struggles, extending aid and assistance, and praying for their safety. Believe and trust that Allah is the source of all blessings and the only one that could grant us our duas, so let's start reciting this dua with the hope to alleviate their suffering, and that they will soon witness brighter days. May peace and strength be bestowed amongst our brothers and sisters in Palestine.
