KFC Halal Expansion: KFC spreads its wings to 4 more Halal branches in Hong Kong

Where are the Halal-friendly KFC branches?

Brace yourself for the delicious details — there are four new KFC branches with Halal-friendly menus which opened very recently (24 August) and they are the following:

1. Sham Shui Po:

Sham Shui Po is a bustling neighborhood in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is known for its vibrant street markets, making it a popular destination for shoppers and food enthusiasts. The Dragon Centre, where the KFC branch is located, is a large shopping mall offering a wide range of retail stores, entertainment options, and dining establishments. Nearby attractions include the Golden Computer Arcade as well as other electronic and repair stores which is a haven for electronics and computer enthusiasts, as well as Halal options in that area. Sham Shui Po Park offers a much-needed relaxation spot after a busy day of exploring.


2. Tsuen Wan:

Tsuen Wan is a vibrant district in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It offers a mix of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. The Nan Fung Centre, where the KFC branch is situated, is a popular shopping destination known for its diverse range of shops. The district has a lot of malls Citywalk Mall, Tsuen Wan Plaza, and Panda Place among others. So take your time and visit them. If you want to take a break, head over to Tsuen Wan Park or to the Tsuen Wan West Promenade. You can also head to Sam Tung Uk Museum, which showcases the Cantonese Hakka agriculture history and lifestyle.


3. Lok Fu:

Lok Fu is a neighborhood in Kowloon, Hong Kong, known for its residential area and shopping facilities. The KFC branch in Lok Fu is situated in Lok Fu Place, a shopping mall that offers a variety of retail stores. Nearby attractions include the Kowloon Walled City Park, a tranquil park built on the site of the former Kowloon Walled City, which has a history of rampant drug use and gang culture – which was demolished and made into a park.


4. Tsing Yi:

Tsing Yi is an island and residential area located in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The KFC branch in Tsing Yi is situated in Cheung Fat Plaza, a shopping complex that houses various retail outlets and eateries. Tsing Yi is known for its scenic views, including the Tsing Ma Bridge, which connects the island to the rest of Hong Kong. Popular attractions in Tsing Yi include Maritime Square, a shopping mall offering a wide range of shopping and dining options, and the Lantau Link Visitor’s Centre which will offer you breathtaking scenes of Tsing Ma Bridge. You can end the day in either Tsing Yi Park or the Tsing Yi Promenade.

The Incorporated Trustees of the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong, also known as the Trustees, which is the representative body of Muslims in the city, posted a video announcing the Halal certification on its Facebook page.

Following Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen's fully Halal menu and the Pacific Coffee Company's limited Halal-friendly menu in June of this year, KFC's expansion of Halal-friendly branches is yet another positive development in the Halal landscape in Hong Kong.
