Pezzo is no stranger to bold flavours and big slices, and with their latest Taste The World, Slice by Slice campaign, they’ve become even bolder and bigger! With their brand new outlet and concept opening at Bedok Mall, they’re turning up the heat (and the cheese) with five new flavours inspired by iconic dishes across the globe. From the smoky streets of Turkey to the sweet-savoury notes of Japan, this lineup is a culinary boarding pass, and you can get it at $5.80 per slice, or $26.20 per pan.
But do the flavours deliver? We tried every new slice (and some new sides while we were at it!) to see if these pizzas are worth your next cheat day.
Let’s start big- the Hot Honey Beef Salami from the USA is unapologetically in-your-face: slabs of beef salami glazed with house-made hot honey, slapped on thick cheesy crust. Think salty, meaty, and sweet, all at once.
While the flavour sounds promising, the hot honey glaze leans more sweet than spicy, which might not hit the mark for those expecting a strong kick. Still, if you like your pizza more on the indulgent, American-style side of things, this one's for you.
The Tokyo Chicken Teriyaki slice is possibly the quirkiest of the bunch. Juicy chunks of teriyaki chicken rest on an umami-packed base, finished with a sprinkle of shredded seaweed for a fusion flair.
The teriyaki glaze is unmistakably sweet (in fact, almost too sweet) especially for a pizza. While the smokiness of the chicken adds some depth, the sugariness can feel a little jarring for those used to more savoury slices. Still, the slice is fun and uniquely Japanese, so if you enjoy sweet-savoury combos, this might surprise you in a good way.
Hands down our favourite of the bunch, the Smokey Chicken Kebab slice brings shawarma vibes in the best way possible. Each slice comes loaded with tender grilled chicken, sweet caramelised onions, and a generous swirl of tahini-hummus sauce right on top.
It tastes practically identical to an actual kebab, and the hummus adds a smooth, creamy finish that ties everything together. It’s well-balanced, punchy, and feels satisfying without being overwhelming.
Coming in hot is the Spicy Lamb Taco, Pezzo’s nod to Mexican street food. This slice features seasoned lamb, fiery jalapeños, and lashings of taco sauce, and it's bold, spicy, and very satisfying.
The lamb is well-spiced and flavourful, and the taco sauce adds that punchy, tangy kick you'd expect, and it’s a fierce contender for our favourite slice! It’s loaded with flavour and toppings, and we could probably eat an entire pizza of it alone.
The most mellow of the bunch, the Spinach Veggie represents Italy’s more classic, pared-down approach to pizza. It’s vegetarian-friendly and features a creamy pink sauce base, topped with spinach, mushrooms, and generous amounts of cheese. Compared to the other flavour bombs on this menu, this slice feels like the quiet kid at the party, but maybe our tastes just haven’t learnt to appreciate it yet.
Alongside the pizza lineup, Pezzo has also rolled out some new and upgraded sides. The Ultimate Beef Meatballs ($8.90) are juicy and tender, with enough seasoning to stand on their own. They’d be perfect with some pasta, but we happily popped them plain.
If you’re into cheese, the Cheesy Mozzarella Bites ($4.90 for 6 pcs, $5.90 for 8 pcs) are golden nuggets of creamy mozzarella wrapped in a crisp shell.
Other familiar faces make a return too: Garlic Bread ($4.90), Honey Glazed Wings, Spicy BBQ Drumlets ($4.90 for 4 pcs / $5.90 for 6 pcs), and even Alaska Pollock Fish Fingers ($6.90–$8.90) round out the snacking selection.
Pezzo’s new international pizza flavours are a mixed bag, but there’s definitely a few that stand out. The Smokey Chicken Kebab and Spicy Lamb Taco slices bring bold, authentic flavour with fun, fusion twists that we’d happily go back for. On the other end, the Tokyo Chicken Teriyaki and Hot Honey Beef Salami feel more experimental, and depending on your tolerance for sweet-and-savoury combos, they’ll either intrigue or confuse.
At the end of the day, this is pizza meant to be playful; Pezzo clearly isn’t afraid to take some creative risks. If you’re tired of the usual Hawaiian or Pepperoni rotation, these international slices are a solid way to spice up your next pizza night.
