Recite the Zikr

Zikr is derived from an Arabic word that means remembrance and recollection. In the context of spirituality and Islam, it refers to the practice and act of honoring and remembering Allah with Muslims as its followers. It’s easy to perform and heavy on the scales, which in this case contributes to our good deeds in the afterlife.

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ ، سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ الْعَظِيمِ

Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim

Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection

Reciting the Zikr will also give the ones reciting them some form of tranquility, as the rhythmic nature of the Zikr helps in inducing a state of inner peace, allowing an escape from the chaos of daily life and worldly desires, and finding solace in the remembrance of something greater.

Prioritizing Salat Above Anythingman doing salat in a mosque

Be prepared, for it will be the first thing you'll be questioned about. Plan your day around the prayer times, not the other way around. Doing your daily Salat as a Muslim is obligatory, and therefore, putting its importance above everything else should be the main priority for Muslims.

Once you’ve skipped your prayers, it is hard to regain consciousness regarding the importance of salat, breaking the bond between a Muslim with its Creator. Understanding the Salat and the meaning of the words recited will enhance your devotion and spiritual connection to it, helping you to reconnect with Allah and His greatness.

The holy book of Islam, the Quran, is of utmost importance in Muslims' lives. It is much more than just a religious text; it is a source of knowledge, guidance, and wisdom that is given by Allah to Muslims. The Quran provides unparalleled spiritual guidance for Muslims, with its verses offering insights into ethical conduct, moral principles, and the path to righteousness in living life.

The teachings within the Quran serve as a compass, guiding individuals in navigating life's challenges with integrity and virtue. Reading the Quran is a means for Muslims to strengthen their personal connection with Allah. It also serves as a direct communication channel, fostering a deep sense of spirituality and devotion, while also offering answers to life's dilemmas and serving as a source of solace during moments of uncertainty.

Having trouble reading the Qur’an? Do not fear to read the Quran as mastering them will get you double the reward. Allah appreciates a Muslim effort in following the path to righteousness, and people who have trouble following it but try their best to fulfill them will be awarded for their struggles.

The Prophet SAW mentioned:

"Such a person as recites the Qur'an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Qur'an by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward."

[Sahih al-Bukhari 4937]
