Burgs: Why It Should Be Your Favourite Halal Burger Spot

If you’re looking for a deliciously affordable way to celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday, Burgs is bringing the heat with a limited-time SG60 promotion that pays homage to local flavours.

From just $6 for a Pulled Beef Rendang Burger, available only on 8 and 9 August, this National Day deal is one of the better ones we’ve seen so far. And beyond that, the homegrown halal burger joint is also expanding its permanent menu with a trio of exciting new items, including an Italian-inspired burger that’s a flavour bomb waiting to happen.

SG60 Promo: Pulled Beef Rendang Burger for Just $6

Let’s kick things off with the main event. Burgs’ Pulled Beef Rendang Burger goes for a jaw-dropping $6 on 8–9 August only, and it’s the kind of deal that’ll make you do a double take.

Stuffed with soft, slow-cooked beef rendang that’s shredded till tender, the burger brings a generous helping of flavour between pillowy buns. It’s not overly spicy or punchy, more of a gentle, comforting kind of rendang, and still very yummy and satisfying, especially if you’re craving something familiar, yet new.

Want the full works? Go for the SG60 Set Meal ($9.80), which includes:

  • 1x Pulled Beef Rendang Burger

  • 1x Rendang Fries

  • 1x Sorbet (Lychee, Rose Jelly, Coconut Base)

The Rendang Fries are loaded with more of that pulled beef goodness, drizzled with a mild rendang sauce. And don’t sleep on the sorbet either. With its lychee, rose jelly, and coconut base, it tastes like a frozen version of bubur som som- a traditional Malay dessert. Creamy, and surprisingly rich, it’s a modern take on a well-loved treat that perfectly wraps up the meal without overwhelming your palate.

New Permanent Menu Items: The Godfather & More

Beyond the SG60 celebration, Burgs has just dropped three new additions to their permanent menu- and if you’re already a fan of their signature burgers, these will give you even more reason to return.

The Godfather Burger ($12.90)

The Godfather Burger is a must-try. With a thick, spicy fried chicken patty, beef pepperoni, a tangy tomato-based sauce, and stretchy mozzarella, this burger isn’t trying to be a pizza, but it definitely draws inspiration from one.

The spice from the fried chicken hits just right, balanced by the rich tomato paste and melty cheese. Add in the savoury chew from the pepperoni, and you’ve got a complex, satisfying burger that somehow works even better than it sounds. It’s bold, layered, and easily our favourite of the new launches by a slight edge.

Nuggies Kicap Manis ($6.90)

The Nuggies Kicap Manis are Burgs’ new spin on their classic nuggies. The good news? The chicken is still juicy and tender, with that crispy coating we love. Although the kicap manis flavour is subtle, it’s worth a try if you’re looking for something with a small kick- it’s not a new standout new flavour, but still makes for a solid side.

Chocolate Banana Pie ($4.90)

Finally, we’ve got the Chocolate Banana Pie, a revamped dessert that replaces the previous peanut butter version. This new version swaps in chocolate, and honestly, we feel it tastes much better now.

The banana-chocolate combo is a classic, and Burgs manages to keep it from becoming too rich or cloying. It’s not overly sweet, and the pastry is flaky without being greasy. A satisfying finish, especially if you like your desserts warm and gooey.

Final Thoughts

Burgs nails the National Day vibe with their SG60 promo, offering a burger that’s both nostalgic and incredibly value-for-money. But even after the celebrations end, the real treat lies in their new menu additions- especially the Godfather Burger.

With prices that stay humble and flavours that continue to evolve, Burgs proves once again that they’re
