A visit to Dong Ba Market in the city of Hue is a great way to get a peek into the local culture. Located along the northern bank of the Huong River, Dong Ba is the largest commercial center in central Vietnam. Although the market is quite large, its architecture is not considered to be the highlight of a visit. Tourists will not be able to locate prayer facilities in Hue, since the city is not known to house any mosques or Islamic centers. Muslims visiting the Dong Ba Market may also not be able find a suitable area to offer their prayers, which means that they will have to return to their hotel rooms at prayer times.
Dong Ba Market is known to house numerous vendors serving a variety of traditional food items within its premises, however these outlets are not Halal certified. Muslim tourist will have to either choose suitable seafood or vegetarian dishes at one these outlets, or dine at a vegetarian or seafood restaurant in the city.
