Description

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is considered to be the one of the most revered sites in the United Arab Emirates. Being country's largest mosque as well as the world's eight biggest mosque, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque was completed in 2007, after 11 years of construction. The Sheikh Zayed Mosque - which features a massive prayer hall, two smaller prayer halls and an expansive courtyard - can accommodate up to 40,000 worshippers. Several reflective pools along the arcades add to the beauty of the mosque and provide glorious views during the night, when combined with the unique lighting system of the mosque.
